1. What adhesive to use to apply woodplanets™ wood veneers to wood panels (MDF, particle board, plywood)?
Flatwork hot/cold press: Wilsonart® 3132 PVA Hot or Cold Press Adhesive WA-3132
Flat/curved surface spray-on: Wilsonart® 1700 series Low VOC contact Adhesive
2. What adhesive to use to apply woodplanets™ wood veneers to drywalls?
Wallcovering Primers: ROMAN PRO-977 ULTRA PRIME®
Wallcovering Adhesive: ROMAN PRO-732 EXTRA-STRENGTH™
3. Are the veneers pre-finished? Do they need any extra work after installation such as sanding and clear coating?
Yes, all the woodplanets™ veneers are pre-finished and can also be made fire-retardant. No extra work is required after installation other than cleaning them with a damp cloth.
4. Can pre-finished wood veneers be hot-pressed to the substrate?
Yes, woodplanets™ wood veneers’ coating can withstand up to 200°F without decomposition. The temperature recommended to press the veneer using Wilsonart® 3132 PVA is 180°F.
5. Will all the veneers match if I order multiple sheets of veneer to cover a large area?
Yes, our veneers are sequence matched by default and you will find flitch numbers and sequence numbers marked on the bottom edge of every sheet of veneer.
6. Can woodplanets™ veneers bend around corners? What’s the minimum radius the veneers can bend to?
Yes, it will bend to a radius as small as 1/4” with the direction of the grain parallel to the corner.
